"Legal Devorce"
My Friend is dateing this guy who is still legaly married. But he tells everyone that he soon will be legaly Devorced. Although neither, he or his wife, ever fild for Devorce.
He told me that, acording to German Law, if you are physicly living appart for more than three years the "German Law" no longer see you as married. You see, his wife lives some place in Germany for the past three years. So now I was wondering if there is anything like that on the German Law Books.

I do not know what your friend's friend told your friend, but what arrives as his views in this forum is plain nonsense as far as German law is concerned.

If spouses have lived apart for three years, it will normally be presumed by German law that the marriage has irretrievably broken down and should be divorced on petition of one of the spouses, even if the other spouse objects to the divorce.
